Dear Members,

We’re excited to share some news about the future of our cooperative. After careful thought and planning, we’re updating our company’s corporate brand to something simpler and more recognizable than Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc.: UNC Dairy.

Why The Change?

While our current name, Upstate Niagara Cooperative, holds a lot of history, it isn’t widely known outside our immediate circle. When people see our company name, they don’t always connect it to our product brands or to the amazing work you do every day.

That’s why we’re introducing the UNC Dairy name. It’s a clearer, more direct way to show who we are and what we stand for - a proud, farmer-owned cooperative rooted in dairy. This change will help customers, partners, and communities recognize us more easily and remember us better.

What’s Staying the Same?

• Our mission, ownership, and products are not changing. It is our aim to bring new products to the marketplace as well.

• Brands like Upstate Farms, Bison, and Intense Milk will stay the same on packaging.

• Upstate Niagara Cooperative will remain our legal name.

What’s Changing?

• You’ll start to see the new UNC Dairy logo on our signs, websites, emails, and materials over the next several months.

• We’ll roll things out gradually to make the transition smooth.

• We’ve put together a Brand Book and an FAQ to answer your questions and guide you through the change. You can access these by scanning the QR code below.

What We Need From You

1. Take a look at the new materials.

Use the QR codes to check out the Brand Guidelines, logos, and our new Anthem video. There is also an FAQ document included with this letter.

2. Start using the new UNC Dairy logo in presentations, emails, and documents where appropriate.

We’ll also be sending out some UNC-branded swag soon!

3. Help spread the word.
